On May 8, WUB Tokyo successfully held its 2025 General Assembly, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our organization.
This year’s assembly included a leadership transition, and we are pleased to announce that Mr. Harumasa Uehara has been appointed as the new President of WUB Tokyo.
In his opening address, President Uehara expressed his aspirations for the coming year:
“I hope to create a welcoming space where people of all generations can naturally come together and connect through the Uchinanchu spirit.”
With this fresh vision, WUB Tokyo will continue striving to become the most vibrant Okinawan-affiliated community in Tokyo, while fostering meaningful connections with fellow Uchinanchu and supporters around the world.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all members and friends for their continued support and look forward to another year of growth, connection, and celebration.
