WUBネットワーク

ワールドワイド・ウチナーンチュ・ビジネス・ネットワーク（WUB）は、世界中のウチナーンチュと、WUBの活動を理解し支援するウチナーンチュの心を持つ人々で構成される組織です。WUBは、ウチナーンチュによる国際的なビジネスネットワークの構築を支援し、会員相互のビジネス発展を促進し、世界中のウチナーンチュ間の理解を深めることを目的として設立されました。現在、このネットワークはハワイ、南米、北米、中米、日本、そしてアジアに支部を有しています。

私たちの歴史

WUBの構想は1995年の第2回世界ウチナーンチュ大会で始まり、ハワイ・ウチナーンチュ・ビジネス・グループ（HUB）の基盤を基盤として1997年に正式に設立されました。1997年にハワイで開催された設立総会以来、今年（2024年）まで、ネットワークは毎年会合を開催し、様々な支部のメンバーが繋がりを深め、洞察や経験を共有する機会を提供しています。

WUBの歴史における重要な節目として、2014年にペルーで開催されたWUB国際会議における沖縄「平和経済」声明の重要な宣言が挙げられます。2017年には、ハワイで特別なイベントや祝賀行事を開催し、ネットワーク設立20周年を祝いました。さらに、2022年には沖縄県ムウトゥヤで25周年記念式典が行われました。

In response to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020-2021 and the ensuing restrictions on physical gatherings, the network has adapted by sustaining exchanges through online platforms like #UCHINA1000.

WUB is actively involved in fostering cross-regional business collaborations among its members and spearheads initiatives such as forging academic-industry partnerships, exemplified by the agreement with Meio University. Additionally, establishing the WUB Scholarship Fund, underscores the Network's commitment to supporting educational endeavors. Furthermore, WUB facilitates exchange programs for high school students between Miyako Island in Okinawa and Maui Island in Hawaii while also dedicating efforts to nurturing the next generation of Uchinanchu networks.
